As a Product Engineer, you will be a part of a team that designs, develops, and maintains the INSZoom and other software applications. You will work closely with our talented software engineering and product management teams on projects that contribute to high performing applications. We welcome recent grads to this position!

What you’ll be doing

  • Participate in design sessions for new product features and capabilities.
  • Write and review design specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Work with product management, product support and customers to debug the applications and provide resolutions.
  • Implement architectures and TFS.
  • Participate in testing of software releases and provide feedback.
  • Isolate, recreate, and provide fixes for the bugs reported at the production environment.
  • Work with on-site and off-shore development team.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to meet the often-changing needs of a dynamic customer-centric company
  • Mentor and guide entry level software engineers.
  • Product Engineers that demonstrate accountability, quick learning, talent, self-motivation and the ability to handle assignments well, will be fast tracked to more complex assignments and leadership responsibility.

What you’ll Bring

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science from an accredited school/university.
  • Experience with desired Technology Stack - Microsoft .NET with C# or VB.NET, HTML, MVC (optional), JavaScript, SQL, MySQL, CSS.
  • In lieu of desired stack, combination preferred stack and successful demonstrable ability/grasp of the following - SQL (SQL Server 2016), NoSQL, ASP.NET, MVC.NET, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Vue, Restful APIs, JSON.
  • Understand Agile methodologies and principals
  • Understand software engineering principles and web development fundamentals
  • Understand cloud architecture (AWS/Azure)
  • Understand continuous integration and continuous delivery fundamentals (tools such as TFS, GitHub, Jenkins etc.)

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate through clear speech and writing. The employee will be required to sit before a computer, use computer equipment and office software, and use office equipment including the telephone. Internal and external meetings will require the employee to stand; walk; use hands. The job requires the ability to occasionally lift office/exhibit products and supplies up to 15 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Work may require communication/teleconference with offshore teams which will need the person in this role to be flexible for communicating with stakeholders in different time zones.
