Warehouse Manager is a direct hire position at one of our premier clients.

Objectives of this position will include:

To enhance the quality and efficiency of Warehouse operations, while providing a Safe and healthful work environment for employees.

To accomplish business objectives at the Warehouse level.

To provide our Customers with the best product, value and service possible.

To make sure employees are properly trained and motivated, holding them accountable for achieving results and complying with Company policies.

To ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Policies are followed.

To ensure proper Quality and Sanitation methods are adhered to.

To ensure SQF Requirements are adhered to at all times.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Responsible for the daily production schedule. Ensures that product is manufactured in compliance with the Specifications set forth by the Customer and company. Maintain or exceed manufacturing Standards, Yields and Efficiencies.

Maintains High Sanitation and Safety Standards.

Promotes Continuous Improvement Process throughout facility.

Promotes Quality of Work Life for all employees.

Participates in selection, assignment and evaluation of assigned personnel.

Strategizes with upper management and implements plans to maintain non-union status.

Maintains all required documentation for production records according to company policies.

Ensures appropriate training for Managers, Supervisors, Leads, and employees on Rules and Regulations, Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, HACCP, SQF requirements, and Job Expectations.

Resolves any employee issues through grievance process. Recommends Recognitions, Promotions, or disciplinary actions based on Employee performance.

Specific Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assures and verifies that all Departments’ activities and expenses are within the department’s budgetary standards

  • Plans to ensure proper staffing levels to ensure continuity of operations.

  • Attends and conducts various meetings with subordinates and superiors.

  • Maintains and promotes Open Communication Channels and Open Door Policy at all levels.

  • Consults with Director of Operations, Director of Quality Assurance, Director of Human Resources and other Corporate management to determine requirements and course-of-action. Implements accordingly.

  • Makes SAFETY a first priority, Plant-wide.

  • Monitors employee performance and compliance with Rules and Policies, Safety Rules, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures, HACCP, SQF requirements.

  • Use the proper procedure for administering disciplinary actions and dismissals.

  • Responsible for performance of personnel and equipment. Takes proactive and/or remedial action as needed.

  • Ensures a clean and organized work environment.

  • Approve requests within budgetary authority, using judgment and discretion.

  • Inform upper Management of any problems that cannot be solved in a timely manner.

  • Review daily production line performances documentation, and document any required corrective action.

  • Additional responsibilities as directed by the Plant Manager.

  • Responsible for ensuring Food Security, Food Safety and Food Quality in the Warehouse.


College graduate, business degree preferred.

5 or more years overall Warehouse Food Manufacturing experience,

Speak, read, and write English (Spanish is a Plus)

Must have MRP and Inventory Control Planning and Execution

Computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Sysbro)

Effective Communication Skills (Verbal and written)

Highly developed Problem-solving skills.

Ability to document and measure results, and implement process improvements.

Ability to manage and motivate others, delegate authority and hold subordinates accountable for achieving results.

Teambuilding skills

Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.

Ability to follow procedures and ensure that others do also

Issue Shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.

Ability to review invoices, work orders, consumption reports and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.

Ability to prepare and manage budgets,

Ability to manage, coach and refine the daily process in the warehouse, freezer, receiving and shipping departments.
