Sales Engineer, Automation DIRECT HIRE

We are in search of a Sales Engineer to work for a growing Automation company.
Responsibilities will include: Selling of Automated and Integrated system solutions and services using technical, organizational and customer knowledge to influence clients and assist them in applying the solutions and services to their needs. The Sales Engineer will provide input and participate in market planning and technical development of products and services. Must have strong mechanical skills and have experience selling in the Automation Industry.
Duties Include: Development of new accounts through networking, seeking referrals and cold calls.
Develops and maintain a successful and professional relationship with key accounts/clients in assigned sales territory and / or market segment. Responds to customer complaints, requests, and suggestions in a timely and professional manner.
Gather all information and data from clients to aid the Sales and Applications Engineering groups in development of solutions. Qualify orders and inquires, Communicate product value to prospect (direct selling). Develop and document project need descriptions per client requests, Present sales proposals to prospects and negotiate pricing. Provide reports and attend national meeting, exhibits, trade shows, etc. Participate in sales forecasting, collaborating with engineering team, provide solutions to clients, modifying the design to achieve maximum value, Coordinate the preparation of high-quality project proposals Manufacturing, and Management personnel during the design, build, test, and installation phases of related projects to guarantee client satisfaction and program continuity.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE required to be considered: An extensive Mechanical Engineering skill level and fluency in the areas of material handling and transport, fabrication and machining technology, fastening methods and tools, dimensional test systems, robotics, machine vision, and related technologies. An undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field discipline preferred and a minimum of 10-years of industrial sales experience is required.
40 to 50 % Travel, good base and opportunity to earn excellent salary including generous commission structure.
