Position Summary

The HR Generalist is the first point of contact for the Human Resource functions of the company. The position is the key recruiter for all hourly openings and oversees all onboarding and ongoing filing for the company. The position is also responsible for maintaining all state licensure documents and ensuring the files are current at all times.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees management with recruitment to include:
    • Partners with Corporate HR to assure open positions are posted on appropriate job boards, websites and social media sites for highest visibility by candidates
    • Calling and conducting initial screenings of applicants
    • Scheduling interviews for management to interview candidates
    • Gathering pre-employment documents, submitting background checks and conducting drug screens
    • Making employment offers under management direction
  • Monitors and maintains region's required state licensure documentation
  • Coordinates and assists in departmental training as needed
    • Functions as the subject matter expert for payroll, onboarding, and electronic document filing
  • Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and trainings as required
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to improve efficiency of the department and services provided
  • Assist in auditing HR internal records
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Work Schedule

Hours and work days will vary to accommodate the needs of the customer and ICM, but typically the hours are Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Additional hours are sometimes necessary so flexibility to work more than the regular schedule is needed. 

 

Qualifications/Specifications

Education:  

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree – Human Resources or related field required
  • PHR/SHRM-CP preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be able to provide auto insurance coverage on any vehicle that may be used for work purposes  

Experience:   

  • 2-3 years in a Human Resources generalist role, with a familiarity in recruiting and general HR administration
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
