We are looking for a self-motivated, qualified, sales professional with the ability to work in a team environment. Personal qualities must include a positive attitude and the desire to work in a competitive environment. Daily tasks include outside territory sales, cold calls, appointment setting, and customer support.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Selling Oil & Lubricant products to the industrial, automotive, and commercial industries in and around Knoxville, TN
  • Candidate must live close to Knoxville, TN. Otherwise, please do not apply.
  • Duties include making consistent sales calls on a specific area of responsibility and customer base
  • Increase market share of assigned territory through developing new business opportunities and maximizing sales potential of existing customers
  • Service sales territory and maintain regular call cycle
  • Review sales and report field activities to management on a weekly basis
  • Improve and build customer/company relations
  • Ethically and professionally represent Hunter Oil Company, our products and programs to customers and prospects
  • Conduct presentations on oil & lubricant related topics to prospective customers
  • Achieve or exceed targeted monthly and annual sales goals
  • Cold calling and customer business development
  • Relationship building and account management
  • Increase market share and customer retention
  • Extensive travel required throughout Central and Eastern Tennessee and Southern Kentucky

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 1-2 years outside sales experience preferred, excellent communication and organizational skills and solid closing skills
  • Experience selling business to business
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Willingness to make small product deliveries to customers in emergency situations
  • Comfortable with a fast paced, opportunity filled work environment
  • Verifiable work history and previous success building and maintaining relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in industry
  • Proficient in computer skills (Word, Excel, Office, Power Point)
  • Self-motivation
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Safety and Quality driven
