Build the SoCal of Tomorrow as a Signature Events Manager
My client is looking for an Events Manager Its members represent tech and medtech corporate executive leaders, entrepreneurs, small-to-mid sized businesses, investors, universities, and strategic advisors, all working together to fuel ecosystem innovation and growth. The organization has helped more than 800 companies. Those companies have received more than $1.7 billion in investment and equity exits. They annually welcome more than 8,500 people to its 30+ programs and 5 signature events.
The Signature Event Manager will be responsible for managing the master event project plan and execution of conferences on an annual basis.
Essential functions include: • Create, manage and execute master strategy and project plan for each signature event • Manage signature event financials, including revenue and expenses • Create and foster key relationships with industry, partners, physicians, investors, and companies • Develop and manage signature event content, including topics, speakers and ancillary events • Scale conferences; i.e. revenue/sales, number of attendees, ROI to constituents & ecosystem • Manage signature event board committees and advisory boards • Work with the team to achieve organizational and signature event goals • Manage signature event vendor relationships and contracts • Other signature event-related duties as assigned
In addition, the Signature Event Manager, as part of the team, will assist with Programs, Signature Events, and partnerships and other activities as assigned.
Minimum Experience required: • Minimum three+ years of experience with corporate event planning • Experience working in deadline-driven environments • Experience handling multiple assignments simultaneously • Experience working in team environments • Proven ability to monitor and meet financial goals • Prior sales and marketing experience preferred
