Summary:

The Assistant Sales Center Manager is responsible for assisting the Sales Center Manager in managing sales and operations at one of our established wholesale HVAC distributorships that carry multiple brands of equipment, parts and supplies. The ASCM will function as acting Manager in the absence of any SCM within the region/division. Ideal candidate will be able to relocate to promote to SCM anywhere within a defined region as positions become available.

Essential Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Lead sales center operations to maximum efficiency, sales and profitability.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory stock levels and manage merchandising of sales showroom as well as overall inventory to ensure proper turns and minimum loss throughout the year.
  • Keep abreast with technical developments and changes in product lines, monitor competitive threats and discuss proper response and reaction with SCM & Regional Manager.
  • Gain knowledge, via hands on application of every job within the sales center including Warehouse, Receiving/Shipping, Warranty, and Counter Sales.
  • Interact with customers, outside sales people and vendors consistently demonstrating professionalism and courtesy in all aspects of interaction with contractors, customers and employees.
  • Assist Sales Center Manager with all Company reports and reporting processes; assist in the supervision of customer credit limits, account receivables and control of credit extensions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· 3-5 years of experience in the HVAC wholesale industry and/or proficiency in HVAC equipment preferred.

· Experience in sales, operations, purchasing and inventory management preferred.

· Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service are absolutely required.

· Capable of working in a fast paced environment with skills to multi-task on different levels.

· Must possess the attitude of wanting to learn, teach and lead.

· Mechanical or Technical background.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
