As the QA manager, you will be the driving force in stakeholder meetings with Product and Engineering, and provide direction for the application of automated testing and product validation. You are methodical, a self-starter, and passionate about quality, which is key to the growth and success of a product.
In this role, you will be responsible for improving and implementing quality assurance processes and implementation procedures. This position provides technical leadership and sets standards for the development, documentation and implementation of test plans and test cases.
The QA manager will also develop a plan to drive automated and manual testing best practices, levering outside resource to improve coverage.
Duties and responsibilities:
Lead the QA phases of the software development life cycle process in an Agile (Scrum) environment, including requirements review and evaluation, writing detailed test plans and test case development and execution.
Design and develop testing strategy based upon project requirements, lead in test cases creation and execution, analyze and report test results to stakeholders.
Support and enhance the QA methodologies to ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality product releases.
Identify areas of regression and functional testing that can be automated. Develop plans to implement, maintain and report on automation efforts.
Implement, gather, analyze and report team and quality metrics which demonstrate business value and show continuous improvement. Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to understand testing needs and priorities.
On-board and manage external QA resources to transition from in-house QA.
Experience & Qualifications:
Strongly Preferred: 2+ years in an QA Manager/ QA Lead role.
Required experience working with full software development life cycle (SDLC) projects, including desktop and iOS app
Strong experience with Agile Development/ SCRUM methodologies
Experience in all stages of application testing including UI, integration, functional, regression, and performance
Experience with JIRA, Google Apps, Zephyr (or equivalent), Slack and defect tracking tools
Exposure to common quality assurance tools, including Selenium.
Mac OS, Win, iOS and Enterprise Mobility Management platforms experience a plus
Proven ability as a leader able to work with multiple, diverse roles and personalities
Previous experience working in a software technology startup and a SaaS and subscription delivery models a plus
