The QA Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance processes and implementation procedures. This position provides technical leadership and sets standards for the development, documentation and implementation of test plans and test cases. In addition, the QA manager will develop a plan to manage and roll-out QA automation, and on-board outsourcing of QA efforts to minimize manual, in-house QA.
Duties and responsibilities:
Supports and enhances the QA methodologies to ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality product releases.
Participates in the QA phases of the software development life cycle process in an Agile (Scrum) environment, including requirements review and evaluation, writing detailed test plans and test case development and execution
Works closely with the Product and Engineering teams to understand testing needs and priorities
Identifies areas of regression and functional testing that can be automated. Develops plan to implement, maintain and report on automation efforts.
On-boards and manages external QA resources to transition from in-house QA.
Implements, gathers, analyzes and reports team and quality metrics which demonstrate business value and show continuous improvement
Estimates, prioritize, plans and coordinates testing activities
Experience & Qualifications:
Strongly Preferred: 2+ years in an QA Manager/ QA Lead role, working with full software development life cycle (SDLC) projects
Strong experience with Agile Development/ SCRUM methodologies.
Experience in all stages of application testing including UI, integration, functional, regression, and performance.
Experience with JIRA, Google Apps, Zephyr, Slack and defect tracking tools
Mac OS, Win, iOS and Enterprise Mobility Management platforms experience a plus
Proven ability as a leader able to work with multiple, diverse roles and personalities
Previous experience working in a software technology startup
Experience with SaaS and subscription delivery models a plus
