At Gribbins Insulation, the branch/area managers serve dual roles – project manager and general manager of the branch and work area. Project managers are the face of the company for customers – they bid the work, manage the jobs, and grow the relationships. They lead the company's sales charge by producing timely and accurate proposals and prioritizing customer service, while regularly coordinating with field superintendents and visiting jobsites. Additionally, the area manager oversees the financial success of the branch and manages the employees working in that area.

Education and Experience:
• Associate’s degree is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least five years of experience in commercial and/or industrial construction industry.
• At least three years of experience in management or coaching.
• Experience using Vista is a plus.
•Spanish fluency preferred!

  • Set sales and operational goals for the branch and the individuals working for the branch.
  • Evaluate branch and individual sales performance.
  • Operate within the branch budget
  • Grow branch revenue and profit through coordinated sales efforts
  • Manage branch employees, including setting goals, performance reviews, accountability, and discipline when necessary
  • Work with corporate office on hiring and firing decisions
  • Coordinate with and report to senior management
  • Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.
  • Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions.
  • Develop opportunities to initiate the sale of Gribbins Insulation’s services to new customers.
  • Grow and maintain existing customer relationships via regular conversations, office visits, and customer entertainment, when appropriate.
  • Provide customer support from start to finish of all projects and maintain contact with customers during and after completion of projects.
  • Follow all Gribbins policies and practices for estimating, customer relationships, and communication, including document templates, pricing, and approval processes.
  • Produce accurate cost estimates for the installation of mechanical insulation based on drawing take-offs, field measurements, and provided specifications to maximize volume and profitability.
  • Prepare accurate, timely, and well-written proposals in accordance with Gribbins standards and policies and follow up to close the sale.
  • Monitor and supervise the deployment of all projects to ensure the achievement of quality, timely, and safe execution of projects.
  • Generate a bill of materials/equipment list for projects and assist in scheduling deliveries to jobsite.
  • Create a project in our software system that consists of labor phases for payroll, billing information with customer, issuing PO’s to vendors, etc.
  • Coordinate the accumulation of labor and material cost data, while recording and maintaining such information for guidance in future projects.
  • Assist in the scheduling of project material and equipment deliveries.
  • Attend project coordination and owner/contractor meetings as required.
  • Quickly respond to customer requests.
  • Interact with Superintendent and Foreman to ensure customer contact requirements and timelines are met.
  • Document, coordinate and communicate any project change orders to field and customer.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billings and assist in collection efforts as required.
  • Assist supervisor and associates in scheduling, coordination, and presenting when necessary at workshops, seminars, and other business development opportunities.
  • Participate in sales calls with fellow sales/project managers.
  • Join and participate in industry related organizations to increase networking capabilities and develop new relationships and opportunities for work.
  • Collaborate with other Gribbins employees to work towards the best outcome for the whole company.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Superb communication skills (face to face and electronic).
• Fluency in Spanish will be preferred.
• Detail-oriented.
• Excellent writing abilities.
• Enthusiasm and strong work ethic.
• Adaptable to new processes and policies.
• Excited to network and grow internal and external relationships.
• Highly proficient with Office software, especially word and excel.
• Able to traverse unstable grounds on working jobsite in varied weather conditions.
• Clean driving record; thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
