Provides prevention integrated counseling screening and referral services to Intended Client Population Groups and those at highest risk Influences of Risk (ICP/IR) for HIV/ AIDS, STI's and Viral Hepatitis as defined by the Department of Public Health HIV/ AIDS Bureau. Risk Reduction Counselor's primary goal is to assist clients in making decisions that will result in reducing risky behaviors within a harm reduction frame and client centered approach.
Qualifications: Associates Degree and two years experience in Human Services field required or one year experience in Human Service with Bachelors Degree in field preferred; experience and/or knowledge of HIV Education and Prevention and Counseling Testing services; certificate from an accredited program in Phlebotomy required and one year experience in Phlebotomy. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
