**Travelling Position**

While home base is in Lafayette, CO, projects are located across the US, and range in duration from 3 months to multiyear. Per industry norms, while away on projects, Superintendents get paid a travel stipend in addition to their base salary.

A. Assisting PM with the Project Plan

1. Project Summary (including risk assessment and quality challenges)

2. Construction Plan (including safety management, schedule, tool/equipment lists)

3. Financial Plan (major purchases, budgets, and project goals)

B. Managing the Project Budget

1. Identify planned field purchases, procure material

2. Solicit quotes, review PO's and subcontracts

3. Establish productivity requirements to meet budgets (understand budgets)

4. Supervise all craftsmen (learn individual capabilities, best work assignments and crew grouping)

5. Obtain proper equipment to efficiently perform the work

6. Properly code labor and purchases

7. Monitor costs (use cost reports)

8. Notify PM of problems that will adversely affect costs or schedule

C. Managing the Project Safety and Quality

1. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized jobsite (empower all craftsmen)

2. Comply with OSHA, Owner, and Gracon Safety Policies

3. Plan and lead JHAs and weekly relevant safety discussions

4. Obtain skilled, dependable, safety-conscience craftsmen

5. Thoroughly review all approved submittals and shop drawings

6. Properly maintain all tools and equipment

7. Work so a punch list is not required (address minor items along the way)

D. Field Administration

1. Write detailed daily reports and submit to PM daily

2. Prepare, distribute, and use short interval schedules (3 or 4 week look-a heads)

3. Lead weekly progress meetings with owner and owner's rep

4. Communicate to PM all necessary info for change orders, pay requests, and schedule updates

5. Properly code and submit weekly time cards and material receipts/receivers

6. Progress project to meet or beat the schedule

7. Establish and maintain good working relationships with the PM, Owner/Owner's rep, and subs

8. Maintain an accurate as-built set of plans and specs

E. Closing out the Project

1. Think ahead to Testing and Commissioning

2. Complete any punch list items, demobilize from jobsite

3. Participate in Post Job Review for learned lessons (use Post Job Review Form)

F. Focusing on Client Satisfaction (no one job is more important than a relationship producing multiple jobs)

1. Avoid "nickel and diming"

2. Communicate often

G. Assisting the Estimating Department

1. Provide feedback from Project Planning during the performance of the project

2. Provide feedback afterwards in the Post Job Review

H. Establish Relationship with Owner/Owner's Rep

1. Ask field rep about future work and notify PM
