As STORE CO-MANAGER you are the right-hand to the Store Manager! You'll become well trained to cover all aspects of STORE OPERATIONS, ACHIEVE KEY PERFORMANCE and FINANCIAL OBJECTIVES, as well as DIRECTIONAL and PERFORMANCE PLANNING.

This includes ensuring Superior Customer Service and delivering Operational Excellence within their assigned location. Through effective scheduling, regulatory compliance, and execution of weekly merchandising and promotional plans, to ensure meeting or exceeding financial objectives and goals. The Store Co-Manager will ensure the required training, development and communication occur's to enable associates to meet and exceed customer and business objectives while fostering an engaging, inclusive, fun, rewarding work environment.

  • Great Merchant - Support and execute in-store promotional activities with a high level of engagement and oversight on promotions and merchandising direction
  • Passionate Leader - Build a team! Interviewing, hiring, orientation, and training. Serve as a role model, mentor and resource. Initiating corrective action as needed
  • Customer Advocate - Assess voice of customer data to identify customer experience, product selection needs, and opportunities for improvement
  • Detail Minded - Able to ensure a disciplined approach to business processes including production planning, ordering of product, inventory management, work standards, store audits, and task management.

If this sounds like you, make sure you also meet these requirements:

  • Two (2) or more years of retail management experience (Grocery retail experience preferred)
  • Experience in safe food handling and storage practices is required
  • Business acumen to understand and leverage financial reporting in driving decisions that positively influence business outcomes.
  • Retail is demanding, and a 50+ hour per week schedule can be expected at Store Co-Manager level, including 10 hour workdays, shifts that span pre-opening/closing hours, and occasional six-day workweeks throughout the year
  • Excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to analyze financial data and create a culture of compliance
  • Proficient in Google Business Tools (e.g. sheets, docs, slides, etc) & various other retail applications including POS and dashboards is required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and achieve sales and production goals
  • Ability to work with team to deliver a superior customer service experience to our customer
  • You must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma / Equivalent (required)
  • Successfully pass our hair drug screen and criminal background check
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record per GFS policy
