The Software Product Manager's key role is highly strategic but can also be tactical. You will be a creative hands-on team member, who has the ability to analyze and identify business needs, as well as communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with an Engineering and Software Development counterparts to define product requirements and assist them with reviewing their corresponding design documents. You will work with Marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. You will have a great understanding of HIPAA and secure software environment. You will also serve as the internal and external champion for your product offerings.


  • Working with an Agile Methodology manage the product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research using multiple channels supported by on-going calls and visits to customers and prospects.
  • Prepare, maintain, and evangelize the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short- and long-term releases.
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, overseeing interdepartmental activities to execute plans.
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.
  • Define feature roadmap for GlobalMed’s products based on business opportunities and market research.
  • Work with sales management and other contributors to evaluate and prioritize opportunities and develop strategy.
  • Create feature descriptions to provide guidance to Business Analysts and contribute and approve the product-related Business Requirements Documents.
  • Validate detailed specifications and development costing versus market potential and future predictable revenue.
  • Responsible for product launch and release plans. Coordinates internal and external product launches with Sales, Software Develop and Customer Success teams.
  • Working with an Agile methodology help develop and deploy key market messages and communication strategies for the product line with Marketing Support team.
  • Collaborate with Software Development and IT to create strategies by which technology will be developed or adapted to meet market needs and leverage opportunities. (e.g., Buy/Build decisions)
  • Monitor and analyze new technologies and inform company of their potential applications to our business. Conduct and lead forward looking research studies.
  • Act as liaison between Software Development, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing teams to support product positioning and customer demand as part of new product development.
  • Work with the Education and Training team to develop product training plan internally and externally.
  • Consult with Customer Support and Success teams to ensure appropriate service levels for the product line.
  • Act as a product champion within the company.
  • Create and maintain profit and loss documentation for products and services.


  • 5 years of progressive experience of developing business requirements within product development
  • Preferably in Medical Technology, Biology, Healthcare Informatics or related field
  • Strong Experience in Agile Methodology - breaking specs to epics & user stories, Sprint Planning support, Retrospective & Scrum meetings
  • Working knowledge of the practices and procedures of medical practices, and/or other healthcare related facilities

  • Currently working in an industry related to Health with a background with other software companies with high focus on growth based and innovative software products in a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.


  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Project Management certification.
