Business Analyst position in Warren -
The Business Office Analyst for GFTS Finance and Architecture (consultant)
The position is a part of the Business Office Organization – an Operating Unit for GFTS Finance and Architecture Technology Group. The Analyst will be a part of a team and work closely with Managers and associated support groups to complete data validation, monthly reporting, and contract execution, and will be involved in the overall operations of the large, international technology group. The ideal candidate would have prior experience in business support functions such as Reporting and Analysis, Business Office, Finance, Planning, Financial Control, or Technology Project Management and would be familiar with finance technology project management, budgeting, reporting, as well as with financial institutions policies and procedures. The candidate needs to be an EXPERT in Excel (Macros, working with data from various sources) and very proficient in PowerPoint and SharePoint. Knowledge of Project Management tools such as PTS or other comparable tool very helpful.
•Prepare monthly reports using multiple data sources (set up of reports involved from Excel data extracts as well as updates in subsequent months – MACROS and automation needed)
•Assist in the yearly budgeting process and help maintain forecasts for technology groups: communicate deadlines, follow up on deliverables to ensure timely execution, review data to ensure completeness and accuracy.
•Review and analyze Full Year Forecast (FY - YTD actuals and remaining forecast) to ensure the financials are managed against Technology and Business budgets.
•Assist in preparation of monthly reports used during reviews of financial data and follow-up/correct any erroneous charges or discrepancies.
•Manage forecasts – screen requests for add to staff/contracts to ensure they are in budget. Compare green dollar forecast with project time tracking.
•Assist in headcount forecasting and sourcing - track contractors and employee requests/requisitions.
•Help in Contract Execution - Ensure the appropriate process is being followed for new SOWs (statement of work) and partner with the managers, vendor and procurement to get approvals and contracts executed
•MUST BE AN EXPERT in Excel – the job will involve generating multiple reports – working with data from multiple sources and various formats. Ability to write Excel Macros, working with data from various sources. Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
•MUST be very proficient in PowerPoint and SharePoint. Knowledge of Project Management tools such as PTS or other comparable tool very helpful.
•Excellent Analytical skills; Experience in executive reporting and communications
•A commitment to quality and attention to detail
•Must be able to make adjustments quickly as data changes come from various sources.
•Excellent presentation and documentation skills
•Strong organizational and follow-up skills - follow through to complete project with minimal supervision
•Proven success in establishing relationships with various stakeholders and technology groups
•Ability to work independently or as part of a team – being able to collaborate in a remote team setting
•Act as contact point for all information relating to business unit.
•Excellent communication skills and being a team player are essential.
•The position requires the ability to work with resources at various levels of the organization; program management experience and being able to understand technology concepts.
•The candidate must demonstrate energy and dedication, be goal-oriented and self-sufficient, and should have proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
•Prior Citi experience with great references and track record would be ideal
