The successful candidate for GIS Solutions Architect is an expert in systems analysis, automated systems design, database design, and applications programming, and are the primary resource for evaluating and applying new technological developments to assigned projects. This role will be responsible to work independently but will be under the direct supervision of a Senior Project Manager. A high level of autonomy will need to be employed to be successful in this role.
In order to support of our utility clients and possibly of customers this position will have a dynamic role in developing advanced GIS enterprise systems, designing compelling user interfaces, and supporting critical workflows using Esri's industry-leading ArcGIS platform. Job duties with be along the lines outlined below, but not limited to:
Design, test, and deploy GIS-based applications on desktops, web, and mobile devices to meet client’s business needs.
Integrate complex spatial databases with other non-spatial data sources.
Develop innovative solutions using GIS technology for a wide variety of business needs that support multiple customers.
General project management duties.
Manage daily work activities and provide general technical support to subordinates.
Presentations to internal and external customers.
Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Key technical experience should include:
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Geography or related IT field
8+ years of GIS experience
6+ years’ experience with development of ESRI based Web/Mobile products
Experience with Python scripting and general application automation and development
Experience leading or supervising projects and/or teams
Experience with IT technical solutions
Experience in writing technical or programmatic documentation
Experience with ArcFM is a plus
Experience working/editing in Citrix/VDI environment is preferred
Knowledge and/or experience with data model related to utilities (gas, water, electric, etc.) is preferred
Ability to analyze and interpret data from many sources, including field data
Ability to effectively collect, process, and evaluate GPS data
Knowledge of ArcSDE (ESRI Geodatabase design structure and management), as well as general database knowledge, including the manipulation of tabular data in GIS, summarizing, joining, and linking related data
Experience managing multiple tasks, documents etc.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours.
