Generac Power Systems - Join the leader in the power industry! Our Corporate Training Group in Eagle, WI is seeking a Technical Trainer to join their team!

As the Technical Trainer, you will play a key role in educating our customers and employees regarding product knowledge, industry trends, selling skills, processes and techniques. You will also be responsible for assisting with the development of course curriculum for both classroom and online presentation. Classroom curriculum consists of of fully illustrated PowerPoint presentations, printed learner's guides, job aids, role-play exercises and handouts. Online curriculum development includes recording and editing narration, taking photographs to help illustrate the content, creating graphics, and working with other authoring software such as Adobe Captivate and the eLearning Suite.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to properly present baseline technical information such as product sizing and installation. Key selling skills training includes how to increase profits, marketing the generator product, effective communication, conducting an effective site survey and overcoming objections. Plan on traveling up to 50% of the time during the spring and the fall/winter as some programs are delivered in a regional classroom setting. Less travel is required during the summer months as fewer sessions are booked.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years of technical or sales training experience. If not Bachelor's Degree, a minimum of five years of technical or sales training experience.
  • Proven track record of learning course content and delivery in a classroom setting
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, with additional authoring software knowledge (Adobe eLearning Suite or similar)

  • The professional depth and experience necessary to deal with shifting priorities and moving deadlines
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience delivering technical product training and sales-oriented content
