GCAM is dedicated to and specializes in plasma industry. We are a growing company with multiple sites in multiple states, and we have an immediate need for a Full-time Donor Screener at our facility located in Indianapolis, IN.
Please note: This is an entry-level position and you do not need to have relevant work experience just a desire to grow, develop and learn. GCAM will provide in-house training. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates a plus.

Essential duties and responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
Conducts pre-donation medical screening in accordance with established guidelines
Determines Hematocrit (HCT) and Protein via finger stick and use of the hematastat and refractometer
Promotes donor satisfaction through appropriate interaction and donor to customer needs
Assess donor suitability and engages in set-up, monitor, and disconnect procedures of the plasmapheresis machines and donors
Provides appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates
Ensure all donor screening information is complete and accurate prior to donation
Ensures donor confidentiality
Effectively communicates donor medical information to medical staff
Establishes and maintains donor files in an organized and efficient manner
Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of necessary records
Assists in maintaining a clean, organized and efficient work area, including maintaining supplies necessary to perform job duties
Maintains and ensures proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work area between donors
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated
Other duties as assigned to meet company goals.
High school diploma or equivalent (Must be able to show proof)
Strong customer service skills.
Must be proficient in English (Read, Write, Speak) with legible handwriting
Current CPR card a plus
Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred
May be required to travel for training
While performing duties, you will regularly be required to use hands and fingers, to handle & feel objects, tools, and controls; reach with hands and arms.
Required to stand for extended intervals, walk, climb and balance; stoop, kneel and crouch.
Physical ability to operate equipment used in screening and donor floor areas that may require repetitive motions and manual dexterity.
Ability to lift, tug, and pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to read while standing or sitting in front of a computer for short periods of time
Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
