.NET POSITION PURPOSE: Lead/oversee the architecture, design, inter-operability, and structure of the .NET framework.
Use best practices, from enterprise-level perspective, to facilitate technologies that provide the most operable and sustainable systems. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Guide and govern code-based best practices and standards –
Develop cross-department services and applications in coordination with IT central architecture team - Act as subject matter expert (SME) on projects for SOA, architecture and integration - Track and document logical systems –
Prepare and deliver presentations on standards, new technologies, best practices, and patterns to employees at all levels within the organization - Assist with the design and architecture of complex development projects - Regularly research IT trends in order to maintain knowledge of cutting edge developments in the areas of software development on the Microsoft stack, data management and best practices, and processes, including SDLC and ALM best practices - Complete appropriate documentation for technical designs, processes engineering, and project decisions - Lead, support, and contribute to process improvement efforts - Champion the adoption of process and design best practices - Identify and track appropriate measures of success, including technical and process-related metrics QUALIFICATIONS: - Undergraduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS/Engineering/Technology a related field or equivalent experience and/or training - 12+ years of development experience - 6+ years of software architecture solutions - 5 + years of web application experience - Demonstrated SDLC experience in large-scale, revenue-base, internet-focused applications - Experience with performance tuning .NET applications - Expert skills with C#, XML, HTML, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS and other web development technologies - Expert level knowledge in .NET development (web-based focus) - Expert coding knowledge regarding industry best practices (SOA, OOP/OOD) and patterns - Strong background in Microsoft SQL Server (2005/2008) - Strong use and understanding of Team System (TFS, VSTS, processes, best-practices) - Strong understanding of PCI, SOX, and security processes and standards - Solid understanding of Microsoft server technologies - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within the organization regarding technical issues - Knowledge of Visual Studio preferred
