“Busy digital marketing agency with lots of flexibility”
We are seeking a part-time sales and business development representative to join our busy digital marketing agency. Using a consultative selling approach that keeps the customer's unique needs at the forefront, you will identify, connect with, nurture and sell to good-fit prospects and leads in the small to mid-sized business market.
After the sale, you will maintain an ongoing relationship with clients, resolving questions and offering ongoing solutions and upsells that will drive company revenue while also offering high value for the client.
This position offers a base salary plus commission. We prefer candidates who can work in our Arlington Heights office for at least one to two days per week. If desired and mutually beneficial, this position could transition to a full-time role at some point in the future.
Build a list of prospects through independent research and investigation
Contact and nurture potential customers and leads via social networking, formal email sequences and phone calls as appropriate
Conduct personalized marketing assessments to define a prospect's pain points, challenges, requirements and opportunities
Create quotes, proposals or change orders, including the estimation of tasks and durations
Present and sell our services to new and existing customers
Reach agreed-upon monthly sales targets
Maintain ongoing relationships with clients after the sale (note that you will not be involved in service delivery or implementation of any solutions, but you will be aware of what the team is delivering)
Address customer inquiries and complaints
Create a library of sales materials to be shared with prospects, leads and existing customers
Conduct quarterly account review calls with current customers to discuss the status of their account, understand and resolve customer concerns, and upsell new products and services
Attend local (Chicago area) networking events to find new leads, build relationships and raise awareness of our services
Attend U.S.-based trade shows to raise awareness about our services, find new leads and build relationships
Previous experience in sales and business development
Experience building prospecting lists through independent online research, social networking and other research
Experience working with a CRM, including logging deals, contact history, demographic information, notes and other prospecting activities (experience with Hubspot CRM would be a major plus!)
Familiarity with some or all of the following:
HubSpot's Marketing Suite
Ability to quickly build strong rapport with clients
Ability to recognize unique pain points/problems and to convince clients that we can solve them
Ideally, experience defining packages and rate sheets
Strong negotiation skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Strong English speaking and writing skills required
Qualified candidate must be comfortable working within a formal sales program and toward quotas
Degree in marketing, sales, business or related field required
Hubspot or Digital Marketer certifications (particularly sales certifications) a major plus!
