Extol of Ohio, Inc., seeks a motivated, experienced and dedicated sales professional, responsible for all aspects of sales and service, to develop industrial and commercial pipe and equipment insulation product and insulation systems sales in multiple states.

An industry leader in quality and service, Extol of Ohio Inc., is innovative and operations are energetic and fast-paced. The outside sales person selected must seek new business along with managing and building relationships between existing contractor and distribution base. New account development is critical to meet our growth objectives. Our direct clients are insulation sales and supply companies and industrial insulation contractors. Create product requirements through specification development within the maintenance, construction and/or engineering departments of end users. This includes discovering, tracking and securing of projects for these facilities through engineering firms and mechanical piping contractors. Product knowledge including technical and application are critical to help our customers be successful.


  • Achieve annual sales and profit objectives in a defined geographic territory.
  • Actively pursue sales leads, schedule appointments, and conduct in-person meetings/presentations with clients.
  • Develop, submit, and negotiate proposals utilizing phone/e-mail/personal follow-up.
  • Closing business and following-up to ensure satisfaction and consistent service.
  • Serve as a liaison between company, field workers and clients when order received.
  • Expanding our product base within existing customers to better assist with their changing needs and apply appropriate product solutions.
  • Proactively network and prospect for new customer contacts with intention of building long-lasting business relationships.


  • · 3+ years of successful outside business-to-business sales experience
  • · Demonstrated ability to develop a sale from cold call through close
  • · Knows how to sell against the competition’s products and services, routinely knows products and services from memory and are an information source for others, etc
  • · Documented success in new account penetration and account management
  • · Proven ability to make sound decisions and recommendations in solution sales environment
  • · Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • · Able to speak in front of small groups, prepare and present impactful presentations


  • · Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent in business or related field
  • · Experience calling on contractors, distributors, engineering firms and/or end user facilities
  • · Sales experience in industrial applications or construction industry
  • · Mechanically inclined
  • · Intimate knowledge of area clientele

Knowledge and Skills:

  • · Demonstrated ability to develop an intimate knowledge of customers, competition, and the market
  • · Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships
  • · Fluent in Microsoft applications; Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • · Goldmine (or similar) customer contact computer system knowledge desired
