Experience in sales or customer service in the construction industry is a plus.

OVERVIEW:

Our inside sales personnel generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders; understanding and interpreting technical requirements; providing technical information; developing accounts. Daily activities include a regular schedule of calls out to contact customers, answering phone for orders or to quote item pricing with extension; phone, email and fax contact with customers. Checking inventory and buyouts from vendors to complete orders for non-stock items. Tracking shipments with freight companies.

TRAINING PROGRAM:

The training experience includes time on the manufacturing floor to learn our fabrication processes and production items. There is classroom and on-line product training that includes material physical properties, characteristics and applications as provided by sales management and through vendor product training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Quoting and calculating pricing of prospective job/project bill of materials or order
  • Taking, entering (data entry), pricing and filling sales orders; communicating expected delivery date; buying out of any non-stock items.
  • Developing sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
  • Closing new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information.
  • Developing accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.
  • Updating job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.
  • Accomplishing department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
