Evok’s Digital Strategist (& Manager) plays a key role in helping our clients determine how to best use digital marketing strategies to achieve their growth objectives. With an understanding of our clients’ businesses, as well as those of their competitors, the Digital Strategist works closely with all internal teams to develop digital media plans that deliver our clients’ objectives. The Digital Strategist is responsible for planning, management and execution in partnership with the relevant teams. This individual uses their knowledge of digital media, social media, Google Ads, search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing and other forms of digital marketing to assist clients and the agency in generating fully optimized digital content strategies. This is a critical position within our team that can have an incredible impact on the bottom line and success of our clients.

Reports directly to the VP of Strategy and/or Director of Digital.

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Performs detailed research into our clients, their industry category, and competitors across multiple markets.
  • Partners with the account service team to identify and develop digital marketing plans that will support and ensure we meet client KPIs.
  • Plans and oversees or implements the integration of paid search and natural/organic search efforts.
  • Assists in the management of outside, digital vendors and freelancers
  • Analyzes campaign performance and devises appropriate actions for maintaining and increasing visibility and reaching client goals.
  • Leads and develops the digital section of the agency’s monthly client reports.
  • Supports the VP of Strategy and account team with research, analysis, and reporting in related areas, such as market research, target segmentation, and brand strategy.
  • Helps set and track clients’ digital budgets per contracts and agreed campaign parameters
  • Assists in reconciliation for all media-related invoicing
  • Participates in new business activities by providing digital intelligence on companies and markets.
  • Help with the ongoing digitization of agency processes including keeping the Ops Manual up to date on digital media processes and procedures.
  • Brings new innovations, trends, ideas and tactics to the agency team and agency clients on a continuing basis. Presents new ideas and tactics at Food For Thought luncheons as requested.

Monthly Breakdown of Specific Task and Responsibilities

1) Client Reporting

  • Spearhead weekly and monthly reporting on behalf of all the teams

2) Strategy/New Business

  • Conduct industry or client-related research (competitive analysis, etc)
  • Prepare strategy documents as requested for existing clients or potential clients

3) SEO/PPC Service Management and Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate tasks and hours allocation for SEO/PPC vendors.
  • Manage invoicing from SEO/PPC vendors. Work with Operations to reconcile.
  • Communicate with Account team on their client’s monthly SEO/PPC deliverables.

4) Paid Social Advertising Management

  • Setup and launch paid social advertising efforts.
  • Manage, test and optimize ads daily/weekly as needed.
  • Communicate with Account team on paid social efforts.
  • Participate in client meetings as needed.
  • Analyze engagement and traffic-related data to compile monthly reporting based on each client’s KPIs.

5) Media Invoicing

  • Review any media invoicing issues as needed; all overages/underages go through VP of Strategy and/or Director of Digital
  • Consult with and assist media teams with invoices

Requirements:

· Minimum of 4+ years of experience in digital strategies/SEM

· Experience and working knowledge of marketing automation systems like Sharpspring or Hubspot

· Experience and working knowledge of PPC campaign management and SEO strategies

· Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking strategies

· Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Display certified; Google Tag Manager exp. a plus

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in paid advertising on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

· Experience and working knowledge of email marketing strategies and tactics

· Proven experience using tools like Adwords Editor, Google Analytics, Advanced Excel and Wordpress

· Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced team environment

· Flexible and adaptable to changing client and project demands

· Ability to operate under pressure and meet or exceed deadlines

· Ability to foster a positive team culture

· Strong presentation skills

· Four-year degree required in advertising, marketing or similar.
