We are seeking positive and outgoing people to join our management team to manage the overall operations of the venue, including team member leadership and development, sales performance, financial and operational reporting, customer service, community involvement, problem solving, and execution of brand excellence. Managers will create and sustain a highly productive and customer focused environment while coaching for excellent team member performance and driving customer service and satisfaction.
Escapology Managers will manage Profit and Loss, sales and financial such as staffing and inventory costs, maintain operational excellence and demonstrate exceptional leadership behavior. Managers will be able to perform any function within the venue, including hiring, scheduling, and training the entire staff to comply with corporate and franchise standards, and maintain communication with the owner.
Additional responsibilities include:
Utilizing financial tools and analyzing financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in store performance, including notifying the owner
Ensuring that all productivity numbers, sales and budgets are met, and reporting is accurate and on-time (daily, monthly, yearly)
Reviewing business practices, determining the needs of customers and team members and identifying performance opportunities to create strategies that improve overall business performance
Track and manage inventory, promotions, advertising/marketing, group sales and events, costs, repairs, hours, etc
Scheduling, developing, and retaining the entire staff, oversee, and make necessary changes to personnel, hours, and/or responsibilities
Training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members
Leading the team in the execution of Escapology standards to create excellent customer experiences
Recognizing outstanding work performance while providing necessary constructive feedback
Developing and maintaining current and positive relations with the surrounding community through effective marketing and sponsorship
Adhering to all company safety, financial, and operational policies and procedures and ensuring that all team members meet compliance requirements, and the venue is maintained properly and clean
Escapology Managers must possess excellent written, verbal, and hands-on employee management skills. The ideal manager is meticulous, organized, and enthusiastic with a vested interest in the community, a commitment to personal development, and an interest in learning about business operations. They must be able to influence the direction of the venue, initiate community outreach through marketing and special events, and drive superb customer satisfaction metrics.
Additional qualifications include:
21 years of age or older
High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in restaurant management or hospitality preferred
Minimum 1 year management experience, including Profit and Loss management
Availability to work evenings and weekends
Ability to drive and manage workplace change
Strong Profit and Loss management abilities
Proficiency with Office Applications and POS software
Ability to stand, bend, scoop, and regularly lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to pass a background check
Retail management, customer service, outside sales and/or outdoor recreation retail, and escape room industry experience preferred
Experience with online marketing, electronics and computer/network technology, and basic handyman skills are a plus
After successfully completing the manager training program and owner approval, potential for full-time employment and benefits may be considered.
