We are seeking a Desktop Specialist to join our team! A Desktop Specialist is a member of the IT support team that provides organization-wide IT support to employees, contractors, and customers. This position serves as the first line of IT support for basic user, hardware, and software issues.
Key areas of responsibility:
Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows) and across a range of software applications
Assist users and customers with basic IT related incidents, provide basic IT support, and escalate incidents to other support teams where necessary
Install and configure new IT equipment
Upgrade software and hardware
Develop and maintain written procedures and training documents
Maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all incidents are handled efficiently and in an appropriate manner
Deploy hardware and software which may require some travel to branch office locations
Attend training courses as identified and agreed for appropriate development
Any other responsibilities related to operations at the Bank
Excellent computer literacy
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows client operating systems and Microsoft Office
A highly motivated and enthusiastic team player with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, proceed with objectives, and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people in a professional manner: face to face, on the telephone, and in writing
Ability to develop and document clear and concise procedures
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Ability to work extended hours as needed or when called upon
