Construction Estimators will be responsible for estimating new projects or jobs. Jobs will vary from concrete, asphalt, dirt work and demo. They will estimate work by gathering blueprints, specifications, proposals or other documents. The Construction Estimator will estimate labor, material, and time requirements in order to calculate the over cost of the upcoming jobs. Construction Estimator Duties/ Responsibilities
* Explore blueprints in order to understand project requirements. * Measure and track important metrics or other measurements. * Collect data by visiting sites and/ or other venues to estimate. * Perform complex analysis of collected data and metrics. * Prepare accurate and reliable forecasts. * Analyze and evaluate offers. * Build and maintain business relationships with key vendors or customers.
* Previous working experience estimating commercial construction. * In-depth knowledge of project management. * Preferably hands on experience in the field. * Hands on experience with complex data. * Familiarity with programs such as Microsoft Office, and Trimble Business Center. * Good time-management skills. * Ability to multitask. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * A good problem solver and critical thinker.
