Position Title: Media Planning Supervisor

Reports To: Associate Director of Media

Supported by: Assistant Media Planner

Job Summary:

· Mid-level position in media planning

· Leads day-to-day implementation and reporting for a major health care client

· Contributes across all aspects of media research, planning, implementation, optimization and reporting

· Potential career growth across all channels, including linear and digital media planning

Responsibilities:

  • Research: Pulls media research in support of recommendations and POVs from in-agency resources and external sources.
  • Planning: Works with Associate Media Director to develop and present strategic media plans encompassing both digital and linear channels; writes media POVs and summaries of emerging media opportunities. Meets with representatives of media properties.

· Implementation: Collaborates with account teams to facilitate implementation of media plans; executes plans working in conjunction with in-house digital platform team, broadcast negotiation team, and outside partners.

  • Budgeting: Maintains monthly budgets for position’s primary accounts. Works with Media Operations Analyst to resolve billing issues
  • Plan maintenance: Optimizes plans on an on-going basis.
  • Reporting: Coordinates all components of on-going and periodic reporting, including digital, broadcast, print and outdoor; Contributes to reporting observations and insights
  • New business: Contributes to agency new-business development and presentations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science required, major in Marketing or Communications preferred
  • Three plus years of experience in media planning
  • Google certification(s) desired but not required
  • Strong understanding of digital media platforms, including DSPs, DMPs and social
  • Familiarity with Simmons, Kantar and other media research software
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience using Strata, IMS Suite, and other media tools preferred.
