We are looking for a self-directed software development intern with a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical and programming skills, an interest in optical displays for AR/VR market segments and in optical technology generally. The intern will work on next generation optical modeling software tools and will gain an exciting real-world experience in DigiLens optical tools development. The intern will closely work with senior members of DigiLens optical design team on a directed program of development.
Develop an application programming interface (API) for Zemax OpticStudio relevant to DigiLens waveguide display optical modeling.
Generate graphical visualizations of results.
Perform computational verification studies to ensure accuracy of results.
Report to senior optical scientist.
Computer Science, physics, optics, or electrical engineering major
Experience programming in C, C++, and Matlab
Excellent analytical and mathematics skills
Track record of working independently
Ability to work in small teams
Familiarity with Zemax Optic Studio.
Experience with optical design / ray tracing / diffractive modeling
