DigiLens the world leader in transparent Augmented Reality Display located in Silicon Valley, California is looking for a Formulation Lead-Scientist-Engineer. You will be working with a team of chemists & engineers developing nano-composite formulations, and work together with Materials, Optical and Process Engineering teams for developing XR Waveguide displays.
Lead a team of chemists & engineers, formulating and developing new inkjet printable holographic materials.
Synthesis and formulation of high refractive index resins composed of organic/inorganic hybrid materials such as functionalized nanoparticles.
Develop novel formulations for improved optical efficiency, thermo-mechanical reliability, and shelf-life.
Characterization and structure-property analysis of holographic photopolymers.
Additional hands-on responsibilities as needed.
Relevant Skills and qualifications
Ph.D. in Materials or a related field. Minimum five years of experience with formulations related to polymers, nanoparticles, and liquid crystals.
Proven experience of developing and formulating new materials which includes polymer and nano-material
Attention to details, comprehension of organic formulations and material processing techniques for various substrates like glass and plastics.
Team player with “whatever it takes” approach.
Must be comfortable in working with light sensitive materials under red light or limited lighting conditions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
