We are looking for an Electro- Mechanical Assembler to work with the Engineering and Operations team to assemble demonstration units showcasing our best in class AR displays.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assemble high-quality electro-mechanical and optical devices while interpreting mechanical assembly drawings, Bills of Material (BOM), written and verbal instructions.
Review schematics or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences. Suggest and render modification and create tool modifications for parts, as needed.
Inspect, test, and adjust in-coming and in-process assemblies to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
Utilize hand held tools such as a screw driver, pliers, and wrenches to assemble demonstration units
Regular interaction with Engineers to give feedback on the optical quality of DigiLens waveguide parts for assembly and to suggest improvements to the assembly process
Soldering fine connections
Maintain inventory of product in work stations
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Maintain a clean and safe work area
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years electro-mechanical or mechanical assembly experience preferably on small instruments or devices requiring fine motor skills
Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
Very detail oriented
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
Physical demands and abilities:
Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds
Regularly perform repetitive tasks
Regularly employ manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
