Job Title: Product Manager , Service Provider Segment

Location: Parsippany, NJ or Milpitas, CA

Scope

The Service Provider Segment Product Manager reports to the Vice President of Product Management and is responsible for managing the Dialogic softswitch (ControlSwitch) through the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering to deliver winning solutions. It also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The ControlSwitch Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals in the VoIP peering market.

Responsibilities

  • Be the champion of the product to sales and help sales drive opportunities to closure
    • Develop and deliver sales and field application engineering training
    • Manage and prioritize feature requests from the field and work closely with engineering on developing shorter term deliverable roadmap
    • Develop marketing content. This includes the creation of product “golden” presentations, white papers, technical briefs, video “data sheets”, success story collateral, sales enablement tools, competitive information and other unique collateral such as infographics as appropriate.
    • Help the field respond to RFIs and RFPs
    • Help the field with the ordering process
    • Perform product demos to customers

o Internal product champion

    • Drive bi-weekly product team meetings to insure product is on P&L target
    • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
    • Deliver a monthly revenue forecast
    • Act as the service provider VoIP peering leader within the company
    • Consistently analyze the market and competitive landscape. Become the internal “expert” on the market and provide recommendations for both product and company direction.
  • Product Postioning and Direction
    • Develop compelling and sustainable product positioning
    • Deliver Marketing Requirement Documents (MRDs) with prioritized features and corresponding justification
    • Help determine longer-term softswitch roadmap as pertains to IMS/LTE
  • Drive awareness (both internally and externally) of market opportunities, including the challenges that customers face and how Dialogic solutions can help solve these challenges.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager of Telecom Service Provider Products
  2. Clearly demonstrated expertise in the VoIP switching market
  3. Demonstrated success defining and launching products into the service provider market
  4. 8+ years of experience in a job in the VoIP/softswitch/SBC market
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)
  7. Technical background, with experience in telecommunications
  8. Excellent teamwork skills
  9. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  10. Must be able to travel 40% of the time
  11. Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
