Sales Manager - Steiner

The Sales Manager - Steiner product line is responsible for maximizing profitable sales, market share, and brand strength for Steiner by leading and managing the sales team to meet company objectives. This person will plan and coordinate to develop and execute effective strategies that foster strong sustainable relationships with dealers and customers. They will lead the team in building up and protecting the brand by ensuring customer satisfaction, and by becoming an expert on brand products and competitors, communicating market information, sales performance, and trends as requested by management.


  • Preparing and executing plans that achieve sales goals and other key business objectives established for the Steiner Sales Team. Key objectives include but are not limited to achieving revenue, profit, growth, dealer coverage, market share, unit volume and product mix targets
  • Take the leadership role in the team’s successful development of territories and dealers in order to reach sustainable targets
  • Foster a team environment between the sales team and key points of contact across all departments in support of dealers to ensure their success with Schiller brands
  • Ensure brand image and all products are represented well at dealer locations and in dealer marketing materials including print, digital, and web. Ensure all promotions are highlighted in the dealer’s store and website when applicable
  • Ensure regional managers and their dealers are trained in product knowledge for sales, marketing, and product support (parts, service & warranty)
  • Accomplish marketing and sales objectives by forecasting and ensuring dealer inventories are maintained; make joint sales calls and demos with regional managers & dealers; plan, develop, implement, and evaluate advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; ensure regional managers develop and execute field sales action plans
  • Participate in customer relations, particularly those involving quality/service and delivery issues to ensure satisfied customers
  • Evaluate and communicate competitive offerings (i.e. product and marketing offerings) in the territory.
  • Provide lost business reports and other information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Contribute marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
  • Support regional and national tradeshows the company participates in
  • Provide weekly and other reports as deemed necessary to achieve objectives


  • BS in Agriculture, Marketing or Business preferred
  • 3-5 years of sales experience and 2-3 years sales management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of outdoor power equipment and golf course maintenance equipment preferred
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven track record of sales development
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
  • Ability to trailer equipment and travel with a trailer safely
