Title: General Manager

Culligan is seeking a talented General Manager to lead the operations and sales teams at our water treatment sales office in Cadiz, KY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To treat our business like it is your own
  • Overall people management of approximately 10-20 employees
  • Will be responsible for revenue growth through increased sales by gaining new customers and to ensure customer retention through teaching and providing great customer service
  • Manages all aspects of day-to-day location business operations
  • To protect the assets of this company
  • Full P&L and yearly budget goal responsibility

Supervision of Employees:

  • Hiring, retention, and training of all staff
  • Route employee work practices and evaluations, and route completion
  • Customer “hot-shots” or call-ins follow up and completion
  • Work on improving customer service issues
  • Customer quit reduction tracking and analysis
  • Collections of payments/equipment repossession efforts and training of staff on collection practice
  • Weekly route paperwork reviewed
  • Overseeing of all daily and monthly customer account billing, updating

Manage Warehouse & Inventory Levels

  • Property management and product control
  • Maintain building and property as well as securing the products and equipment stored inside
  • Product orders placed on time to ensure scheduled delivery
  • Receive orders and verify accuracy of your delivery invoice
  • Maintain a working inventory of products to supply all routes and necessary stocking levels.

Setting Accounts/New Account Sales

  • Oversee lead activities for all salespeople
  • Exceeding sales goals set forth and approved by ownership
  • Interact daily with sales employees
  • Daily monitoring of new customers for accurate routing, sequencing, route ticket placement and completion of new account contracts and new account set up

Company Vehicles

  • Maintenance on all location vehicles - includes keeping regular oil changes and regularly scheduled maintenance
  • Making decisions on what, where vehicles need to be repaired, always keeping cost in mind
  • Making sure drivers keep vehicles clean inside and out, projecting a good company image

Administrative Support

  • HR work will be completed by others in house or by outsourced HR firm
  • Payroll processing handled by third party
  • Accounting work provided by third party

Personality Profile

Preferred Prior Experience/Work History- Management experience necessary, prior sales background with route management/experience preferred. A past working knowledge of routing efficiencies and logistics management. Able to understand the budgeting process and able to manage profit and loss statements.

Personality- self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality customer service and business profit. Mature, professional, credible and comfortable in dealing with employees and customers. Reliable, tolerant and determined. Well organized with good communication and time management skills. Able to get along well with others and create a team atmosphere.

Management Ability - Good people management skills, experience, and natural ability. Able to recognize, prioritize and accomplish daily, weekly and monthly goals. Able to motivate staff to accomplish aforementioned goals. Effective communication with subordinates as well as the company management staff considered a must.

Sales- Results driven individual with a determination to grow their sales territory through great customer service, well trained employees, and a willingness to continue to add to the customer base.
