GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This position assures a high quality customer service by resolving product/service problems, providing product information and processing product orders. This includes assisting customers, sales representatives and management with inquires, and maintaining effective communication to provide on-going support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage production schedule: including but not limited to adding lot #’s, adding shippers, adding carriers, moving shipments around based on carrier, customer or CTC needs, adding new production orders, keeping track of shipments
  • Prepare for morning meeting
  • Prepare On time delivery report
  • Confirm customer payments received with accounting and obtain approval to release shipments
  • Print daily reports – supply & demand / inventory
  • Order entry – includes verifying pricing, inventory, lead time
  • Communicate with team any resin changes that occur throughout day such as add on’s or cancellations
  • Communicate with shipping any carrier changes or late arrivals
  • Lot #’s – request lot #’s from Quality Manager and add to production schedule
  • Create shipping schedule for following week and notify customers and carriers
  • Provide shipping details to customers such as skid count, weight, measurements of shipments and notify customers
  • Scanning order confirmations and sending to customer
  • Labels – create labels for all box shipments
  • Scanning BOL’s, proof of shipments and send to customer
  • Attach customer PO to shipping paperwork, submit to accounting
  • Assign dock times to carriers as needed and add to production schedule
  • Create shippers for following week shipments and add to production schedule
  • Coordinate daily shipments with shipping manager
  • Call carriers to check on estimated time of arrival
  • Print BOL’s for outbound shipments
  • Prepare for next day’s outbound shipments – collect BOLs, box load labels, print schedules, check inventory locations, communicate with plant on production
  • Filing – open orders, invoices
  • Answer emails
  • Return phone calls
  • Receptionist back up
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  • Associates Degree in Business preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with computers is required. Experience with MS Office (word, excel, power point) and businesses current computer applications is a plus
  • Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem analysis and solving
  • Strong detail orientation, accuracy and communication/listening skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed
  • Initiative, positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be mature, dependable and capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Experience in a manufacturing organization is a plus
