Purpose and Scope:
To set-up, clean, sanitize and perform minor adjustments to the filling/pressing and packaging equipment.
•Ability to independently clean & sanitize, set-up, and make minor adjustments to production and packaging equipment.
•Assist in Operator training related to equipment set-up and maintenance.
•Ensure equipment is operating at optimum line efficiency.
•Clean and sanitize kettles, pumps, mixers, and other equipment as required in accordance with SOPs and GMP.
•Assist Mechanics where required.
•Handling medium to heavy loads
•Repetitive tasks in fast paced environment
•Standing for long periods of time
Skills and Qualifications:
•A two to three year diploma in mechanical or electro-mechanical program is a definite asset.
•A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in set-up of packaging/filling equipment including labellers, conveyors and case sealers preferably in a cosmetics, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
•Able to work independently in a fast paced environment and completing work on a timely basis.
•Able to read, understand, interpret and apply technical writing, SOPs and instruction.
•Take initiative to continuously learn how to troubleshoot the equipment and to learn new skills.
