Purpose and Scope:
To assist the Compounders in the manufacturing and pre-weighing processes in tangent with equipment cleaning responsibilities.
•Support the Compounders in their daily duties to manufacture CLI batches in line with GMP procedures, quality standards and company SOPs / Work instructions.
•Support completion of all tasks strictly inline with approved pre-weighing and manufacturing procedures and processes. Communicate immediately with appropriate Team Leader any un-expected issues and deviations from procedure if they occur.
•Cleaning and sanitization of all compounding equipment e.g. kettles, pumps, mills, mixers in line with the trained SOPs and procedures.
•Pre-weigh, manufacture and colour match all batches; operate all equipments (mills, micronizers, pumps, mixers) in compounding areas as trained and directed by the Team Leaders.
•Assist in completing all documentation to the required level of quality, accuracy and time line and ensure all information is recorded in the correct documentation/ media.
•Follow all procedures regarding Health and Safety and report all safety concerns and or deviations to the Team Leader or Manager immediately.
•Ensure always working in a safe way to support fellow staff in maintaining a safe, clean and compliant working environment.
•In support of fellow staff, complete all quality checks, submissions, approvals inline with required documentation and expectations.
•Support supervisory staff with opportunities/ initiatives to increase output efficiency of the area.
•Support compounding staff in ensuring all output of the department meets/ exceeds all standards and expectation of the organization, and support an environment of continuous improvement.
•Complete all required training and planned updates as required to support personal and department skill levels.
•Ensure all equipment used is in line with required cleaning, calibration and process requirements.
•Train on all new, alternate department processes as required / directed by supervision
•Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
•Diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience in a GMP or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Environment.
•Possess a minimum 1-2 years experience in a compounding or batching operation.
•Must be able to colour match.
•Good oral and written communication skills.
•Mechanical aptitude required.
•Math skills required for the accurate checking and weighing of ingredients.
