Senior Account Director - Job Description
TBD – Start Date 10/1/16
1) The primary objective of this position is to drive net new sales to Cornerstone Technologies focused on Next Generation Data Center Solutions.
2) This position is to be a “technical hunter” with technical knowledge of Hyper-converged, Storage, and Open Networking technologies specifically. This includes Nutanix, Simplivity, Dell FX2, Compellent, PurStorage, EMC, NetApp, Force 10, and Cumulus and be able to find opportunities for these solution in both new and existing accounts.
3) This position will not actively sell solutions not mentioned above but will get paid on any other products/solutions that get bundled as part of each Next Generation Data Center solution sale.
4) To generate pipeline and sales revenue, this position is expected to:
a. Leverage relationships in prior accounts
b. Intelligently prospect into high potential spend customers
c. Attack incumbent competitor accounts
d. Actively network with partner technical sales teams
e. Help the CST team expand in existing accounts.
Ideal Candidate Background
The ideal candidate will have minimum 3-5 years successful quota-making sales experience in a hunting/acquisition capacity, focused on selling hyper-converged and/or storage and networking solutions
The ideal candidate will have acquisition experience both with a manufacturer (Hitachi, IBM, EMC, NetApp, Cisco) and with VAR in a channel environment
The ideal candidate will have achieve this success by selling into and have referenceable customers with significant infrastructure needs, such as mid-level/large Enterprises, Global accounts, and Public accounts.
This candidate should have keen business acumen and able to effectively interact with technical, financial, security, and sales/marketing executives, and as such should hold, at minimum, an undergraduate college degree.
The ideal candidate must have great communication skills and be comfortable and effective presenting in a board room, white boarding with techies, and teaming with internal and external partners and teammates.
CST will custom build an aggressive, creative, and compelling compensation package for the right candidate. This will include but may not limited to base salary, extremely generous commission plan, expense account, health care benefits, and an opportunity to earn an equity position in the company.
