Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. Distribute expenditures, encumbrances, receipts, and receivables according to schedules. Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital. Audits contracts, orders, and vouchers.
Prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement. Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits. Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures. Reviews, investigates, and corrects inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. Installs, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures. Devises and implements system for general accounting. Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures. Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation.
Responsible for accounts receivable, journal entries, cash investments, and financial transition after acquisition of business division. Reports monthly financial statements.. Responsible for accounting for fixed assets, stock and insurance of specified division. Prepares monthly liquidity plan. Organize forecast for location.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate strong analytical problem solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Organization and teamwork are essential.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelors' degree in accounting and finance with 4-5 years of direct experience
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP with knowledge of Microsoft Office software package (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and Prosystems.
