PRACTICE MANAGER/FINANCE COORDINATOR FOR PHYSICIAN GROUP
Provides Leadership in developing and implementing the practice’s mission in response to its changing needs.
Recommends, develops, and updates strategic long and short range plans to support multiple practice’s philosophy and goals.
Review the costs of multiple practices’ operations and protect practice assets. Maintain costs commensurate with goals.
Informs the executive committee of current trends and problems to facilitate policy making.
Oversees the business and financial affairs of the practice. These functions include accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting, cash flows, cash management, payroll, pension funding, internal controls and timely reporting. Preparation and presentation of financials. Monitor income versus cost relationships. Monitor billing and A/R issues. Fee schedule development and physician compensation modeling. Responsible to review practice expenses and is authorized to sign checks for the practice.
Represents multiple practices in its relationships with health organizations, government agencies, third-party payers and the public. Provides assistance in establishing policies, procedures and regulatory compliance.
Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional development to keep current with health care trends and developments.
Coordinates the long-range financial development and management of multiple practices. Negotiates with managed care plans and ensures the practice’s long term financial stability.
Assists in formulating, interpreting and carrying out practice policies.
Maintain/administer professional benefits. Monitor internal corporate compliance. Establish policies and procedures. Report on practice activities to the board.
Provides support for the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Managing physicians, and other practice-wide committees. Chair board and/or general staff meetings when needed. Liaison with advisors (attorney, pension, etc.). Review contracts and commitments.
Initiate and conduct strategic planning. Provides support for the Executive Committee in the areas of strategic planning, financial analysis, and payer contracting.
Assists in physician recruiting and recruitment of health professionals.
Participates in annual wage and salary surveys.
