Program Information:

First 5 Services support for families with children under age 6, who face serious barriers to their child's healthy social and emotional development.
Position Information/Requirements:

Bi-lingual Starting Salary:Step 1-$51,311.72(non-licensed) -- Step 1-$59,442.08(licensed) upon certification.

Special Requirements: Must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field plus 1 year experience. Must be active and in good standings as a registered intern or licensed with the BBS. Experience working with the DSM IV and setting therapeutic goals. Community-based work to include home visits. Must be willing to work with clients in clinical setting, community and/or in clients' home. Client base Gilroy, Morgan Hill and/or San Jose. Demonstrated ability of cultural competency by effectively working with people differing in value systems, ethnicity, disabilities, language capabilities and cultural backgrounds. Experience facilitating groups and conducting family therapy a plus. Good time management skills and writing ability. Experience with MediCal paperwork and procedures strongly preferred. Ability to exercise good judgment and act calmly in an emergency situation. Experience and ability to work in a fast paced environment with good time management skills with the ability to maintain appropriate documentation is required. Work effectively in a team environment or independently. Strong computer, written and verbal skills required. Flexible schedule may be required to work some evenings and/or weekends. Daily travel required which may include transportation of clients. Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid California Drivers License, auto insurance and automobile required. Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking required.
