Program Information:

Family & Children Mental Health Services (F&C) Outpatient mental health counseling, case management & medication support for children under 21 years, who meet medical necessity for mental health services and their families.

Position Information/Requirements:

Starting Salary: $46,631.72 (Non-licensed) - $51,311.72 (Licensed)

Bi-Lingual Starting Salary: $51,311.72(Non-licensed) - $59,442.08 (Licensed)

Special Requirements: Must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field plus 1 year experience. Must be active and in good standing as a registered intern or licensed with the BBS. Experience working with children, adolescents and families. Community based work to include home visits and school based services.Demonstrated ability of cultural competency by effectively working with people differing in value systems, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds,and value systems.Experience working with DSM IV and setting therapeutic goals. Ability to exercise good judgment and act calmly in emergency situations. Experience and ability to work in a fast paced environment with good time management skills with the ability to maintain appropriate documentation is required. Experience with County Mental Health/Medi-Cal paperwork and procedures strongly preferred. Strong computer, written and verbal skills. Work effectively in a team environment or independently. Must be willing to work with clients in a clinical setting, in the community and/or in clients home.Flexible schedule, may be required to work some evenings and/or weekends. Daily travel is required which may include transportation of clients. Client base in Gilroy, Morgan Hill and/or San Jose. Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid California Driver's License, auto insurance, and automobile.Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking preferred.
