The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a Dental HOA Manager to develop and manage administrative systems that continually improve the integrated operating environment at the Stout Street Health Center. This position is located at 2130 Stout Street Denver, CO 80205 and reports to the Manager of Integrated Dental Operations.

Essential Job Functions

Serves as the “face” of CCH Dental Clinics:

  1. Supervises Dental Clinic registration clerks (Health Operations Associate); engenders a spirit of customer service and quality improvement among supervisees.
  2. Develops and oversees efficient and accurate methods for client registration and appointment setting at the Stout Street Health Center Dental Clinics and Champa Dental Clinic.
  3. Work with Manager of Integrated Dental Operations and Dental Director to create and implement an integrated customer service plan for HOAs via staff training, teambuilding, and performance review process, so that clients experience a compassionate and trauma-informed environment from the beginning of their contact with the health center.
  4. Assists in expansion and staffing of dental services in CCH clinics as directed by Manager of Integrated Dental Operations. Some travel to other clinics required for training and coverage as needed.
  5. Develops a reliable call-in system that enables patients to schedule appointments over the phone. Implements a quality assurance program to monitor the call-in line and voice mail.
  6. Partners with Providers, Dental Assistants, and Patient Navigation to produce a seamless patient experience.
  7. Performs patient flow studies to assure maximal patient experience.
  8. Performs direct front desk coverage as needed to support client flow. Facilitates clinic flow, including patient check in/check out and HOA staff scheduling. Problem solves logistical issues as they arise.
  9. Collaborates with Dental Director and Manager of Dental Operations to assure provider schedules with maximized client access, provider efficiency and effective utilization of support staff.
  10. Assists with recruitment and hiring of new HOA staff.
  11. Oversees the registration and scheduling functions of the practice management system, ensuring that the needs of the agency for data and revenue cycle purposes are met.
  12. Processes practice management reports and assist other reports as needed.
  13. Works with the Manager of Integrated Dental Operations and the Dental Director to maximize reimbursement efficiencies.
  14. Develops and maintains an annual budget for office supplies, printing, shredding, copying and other operational expenses as assigned; establishes and/or maintains cost-effective vendor agreements for supplies and services.
  15. Maintains, evaluates and implements suggestions from the client comment box and/or Consumer Advisory Board at the direction of the Manager of Integrated Dental Operations.
  16. Attends all SSC/CCH staff and management meetings as appropriate; participates in assigned committees and activities related to safety, risk management and efficiency.
  17. Maintains a work environment that demonstrates respect for others; that values inclusiveness and builds workforce diversity, and that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
  18. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications Summary

  1. GED, High School Diploma, or some college.
  2. Minimum two years of experience in a dental or medical office /clinic management strongly preferred.
  3. Experience supervising dental staff preferred.
  4. Equivalent combination of education and appropriate experience will be considered.
  5. Valid Colorado driver’s license and eligibility for CCH auto insurance coverage required.
  6. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Our History
CCH was established in 1984 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. It was founded by a group of individuals with a will to take action on behalf of Colorado's homeless. They recognized the struggles of working people living in poverty. And they refused to tolerate the dangers faced by those people sleeping in their cars, in tents, or on the streets.

More than 30 years later, many of the underlying social causes of homelessness persist, like poverty, shortages of affordable housing, and unattainable healthcare. The Coalition's integrated housing, healthcare, and supportive service programs have been highly effective at responding to these conditions over time.
