CoachArt is a nonprofit organization that serves children impacted by chronic illness through arts and athletics programs that are impactful, meaningful and adapted to the unique needs and interest of the child. We work with young people and families who are facing enormous challenges and we believe that ALL young people, regardless of limitation, deserve to be part of an inclusive and empowering learning community. Since 2001, CoachArt has matched thousands of volunteer coaches with chronically ill children and their siblings for one-on-one or group lessons, bringing joy and a sense of normalcy back into their lives.
CoachArt recently transitioned to an online platform model where volunteers log on to see the students near them who want lessons and match directly through the platform, similar to the Lyft and AirBnB business model.
