Job Summary:

CNPC USA is actively seeking creative, innovative, best-in-class experts to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer will perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools other mechanically functioning equipment. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment and systems.

The Mechanical Engineer will report directly to the Completions and Stimulations Manager.

· Responsibilities:

· Develop downhole product from Design, Manufacturing, and Qualification test to Field Test phases.

· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.

· Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

· Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.

· Instruct designers in developing the design of products from 3D model to final drawings, using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software

· Instruct and assist the MFG team and Operation team for product operations

· Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.

· Conduct all business activities in agreement with CNPC USA core values.

Key Skills:

· Proven ability to deliver on time, on target, with quality and sustainability.

· Experience of downhole completion tools from design to operation.

· Good interpersonal skills and communication.

· Good documentation writing skills

· Project Management skills to manage a project from concept to commercialization.

· Knowledge of field operations, qualifications, and testing.

· Experience using SolidWorks

· Design for Manufacturability

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; with 3+ years of related experience preferably in downhole tools and operations

Legally authorized to work in the United States of America

Work Environment:

This job operates mainly in a professional office environment but may also be required to visit or work in a shop environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. In addition, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel:

This position requires some domestic and international travel. Local travel between other CNPC USA locations and testing facilities is required.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
