Chief Executive Group seeks a Bookkeeper to provide day-to-day support of the accounting function, including account setup and reconciliation, A/R and A/P processing, and help with monthly reporting.
Key responsibilities for the Bookkeeper include:
Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and provide support for closing the monthly books
Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks
Routinely follow up on the status of accounts receivable collections
Verify and complete payment of invoices and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
Assist in the management of digital systems for invoicing and payments
Receive incoming payments and make bank deposits as needed
The Bookkeeper will be an organized professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate well with employees from all functions within the company.
Specific qualifications include:
2+ years of related work experience, as well as working knowledge of general financial accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
Working knowledge of QuickBooks a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
