The ideal internship candidate(s) should possess an entry level understanding of the following: Analytical & troubleshooting skills; Effective communication and collaborative working skills; Independent thinking skills as well as the ability to communicate technical concepts and strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • College student working towards a degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • GPA of 2.0 or better

  • Entry Level experience using PC based software systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).

  • Digital Design and Mechatronics/Electronics II or similar courses completed. Control Systems completed is preferred.

  • Desire to gain Engineering experience in the paper manufacturing industry.

    Electrical Engineer Intern Details: (Pittston, PA)

  • Work with senior management to develop/improve control system processes on industrial paper converting machines

  • Design layout and programming upgrades of legacy control equipment to modern

  • Assist with programming PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servos, and some Robotics etc.

  • Develop/Improve electrical schematics

  • Learn in-depth communication protocols and basic networking

  • Other projects as assigned based on the fluctuating needs of the business

  • Students will gain experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc, Auto-CAD etc.

NOTE: Applicants must be able to work in locations that feature rough/harsh terrain and to enter and work within facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities. Safety training will be provided.

Dates Available: Spring & Summer 2017

Pay Range: $12.50 – $22.50+ / hour

Hours: Mon – Fri, 20-40/ week
