Position Description: Private Sector Information Sharing & Analysis Center seeks a junior-level intelligence researcher/security analyst for a full-time position, splitting time between our New Jersey and New York centers.

The successful candidate must exhibit the highest degree of integrity and work well under pressure, be extremely detail oriented, professional and organized and possess strong research, writing and reporting skills.

Core Duties:

  • Monitoring of security incidents, threats, homeland security events and current affairs relating to and impacting member organizations
  • Generating real-time tactical alerts and crisis communications for network of member organizations
  • Producing analyses, reports and other information products for member organizations, executives, management, law enforcement and security partners
  • Developing and delivering briefings, reports, presentations and requests for information for management and executive leadership
  • Initiating and maintaining liaisons and information sharing relationships with local, state, federal law enforcement and homeland security partners
  • Conducting research and analysis to generate strategic reports, forecasts & studies
  • Responding to inquiries, requests and providing security consultation, guidance and materials support to member organizations

Competencies: Self-starting, detail-oriented analyst with superior research, analysis and writing skills; Ability to work with sensitive, confidential and classified information; Utilizes multi-tasking in order to meet time constraints and manage shifting priorities and deadlines.

Organizing, Planning and Prioritizing:

  1. Sets priorities appropriately adopting a systematic, methodical and effective approach to planning,
  2. Organizes and covers incident leads in an effective fashion,
  3. Uses available personnel, time and other resources effectively,
  4. Anticipates problems and develops contingencies to avoid them.

Knowledge of Current Events:

  1. Maintains an awareness regarding important national and international events that may have an impact on member organizations, events, etc.
  2. Understands the relevance of the events and the implications for member organizations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. The incumbent may be assigned other duties to meet organizational goals and objectives.

Education/Work Experience: Undergraduate degree is required; specialized studies in homeland security, political science, international affairs, intelligence/security studies preferred; Additional experience and professional acumen may be considered

1-2 years experience in law enforcement, intelligence, investigations or security field preferred;

Other Requirements:

  • Candidates must be United States citizens and present proof for citizenship, if selected.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-Level Security Clearance and be subject to a criminal background investigation and drug screening.
  • Analyst may be required to perform duties during night/weekends

Compensation: The final candidate will receive a compensation package to include a base salary commensurate with experience and health benefits package.
