Work within the product development team to design, develop, and research new technologies that will further expand the product line of laboratory instrumentation. Provide hands on engineering expertise required for the research and launch of new products as well as the support and upgrading of existing products and related systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, and bring up systems within a multi-disciplinary team, writing firmware and working closely with other embedded developers.
Interact with other team members to define system requirements.
Support legacy products, cost-down projects, and new designs able to be retro-fit into existing products.
Interfacing with the service department to support field issues.
Meet occasionally with vendors and attend tradeshows and seminars as required.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical liaison to sales, marketing, service, and manufacturing.
Operate laboratory instrumentation as needed for evaluation and verification.
Other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of one year professional experience.
Strong understanding of C, and ability to learn C++.
Strong technical problem solving and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to read schematics.
Experience with ARM Cortex processors.
Experience with STM32 microcontroller preferred.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting ability.
Basic understanding of control theory.
Familiarity with LABVIEW a plus.
