Position Summary

Can/Am is looking for a dedicated and thorough AWS Administrator with at least 3 years of experience to improve and maintain the security and architecture of the Teller Cloud AWS infrastructure.

Can/Am is embarking on a NIST 800-53 StateRAMP Certification and a key part of this role will be implementing, improving, and monitoring our controls to the successful completion of this Certification. You will be a key player in bringing our system to the next layer of defense working alongside a committed group of professionals.

In addition, the security/IT nature of this role includes periodic IT tasks in support of our Denver and Edmonton staff, including workstation setup, firewall maintenance, and establishing/maintaining security policies to ensure the efficient and secure operation of our teams. You will report to the Cloud Operations Manager.


The candidate should be a fast learner with an aptitude for understanding and maintaining complex systems.

- Bachelor’s Degree: Information Security, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.

- AWS architecture and administration (3+ years).

- Relational databases (preferably Oracle).

- Ensure appropriate infrastructure procedures are in place.

What you will be doing

- Implement and maintain cybersecurity improvements in the Teller Cloud AWS setup based on NIST Cybersecurity Framework principles.

- Design, recommend, and implement best practices for cloud monitoring and routine maintenance.

- Design and implement architecture changes to AWS.

- Monitor and improve existing SOC2 processes, ensuring that controls are followed.

- Implement and monitor StateRAMP (NIST 800-53) controls.

- Implement security review recommendations.

- Coordinate penetration tests, cybersecurity assessments, and other ongoing activities to maintain and improve on our security posture.

- Implement Mobile Device Management solution to ensure security of all access points.

Salary range before geographical consideration is $80,000-110,000
