Ensure that Camp Fire’s curriculum and core values are integrated into all programs.
Follow up on all volunteer paperwork such as registrations, background checks, and references.
Work in conjunction with the Fund Development and Communications Director to establish and maintain relationships within the community (i.e. booth at Kids Day in Riverfront Park, Kids Day in Coeur d’Alene, Unity in the Community, etc.)
Assist in community outreach and services of the Camp Fire programs.
Participate in community groups interested in child development and non-profit in an effort to promote and support Camp Fire in the region.
Assist in personal community communication and resources to refine and or shift public perception of Camp Fire.
Promote Camp Fire Inland Northwest philosophy to keep our Council speaking with one voice across all service lines, and customer interaction.
Assist the Executive Director in strengthening efforts to seek gift support from our Council’s constituency and from other potential gift sources such as corporations, foundations, associations and governments through relationship building and contact in the community.
Continue quality improvement measures to sustain programming within community needs.
Assist with Council events as needed.
Actively serve as a Champion for Camp Fire’s Annual Sustaining Membership Campaign.
Camp Fire Club Responsibilities
Ensure clubs meet requirements of YPQA.
Implement a focused campaign for recruiting volunteer club leaders and club youth.
Support efforts to grow club membership/volunteer membership within the boundaries of our Council. (Be at as many elementary school open houses as possible. Utilize club leaders and/or club volunteers).
Prepare and update materials for open houses and/or club flyers as needed.
Follow up on all club leads gathered matching prospective members with established clubs or coordinating with volunteers to start new clubs in areas of need.
In conjunction with Director of Camping and Program Services, monitor risk management of all club programs.
Seek out youth development gaps within the region; design and deliver programs to address those needs.
Support and coordinate volunteer leaders and club parents.
Act as a resource for staff and volunteers for all club programs.
Manage inventory of club supplies, including curriculum, emblems, beads, vests, etc.
Complete a year-end annual inventory of store supplies.
Prepare club event calendar for the school year. Coordinate and be present at events including, but not limited to Candy Kickoff, Camp Fire Birthday Celebration, National Art Experience, Jr. Lilac Parade and Valleyfest Parade, Fly-up/Grand Council Fire and outdoor camping experiences.
Coordinate and implement the Annual Candy Fundraiser; this includes, but is not limited to, coordinating dates and awards, updating all paperwork, finding candy depots and club chairs, preparing for trainings, training new club candy chairs, ordering candy, distributing candy, keeping track of candy and depots including the office, executing PR strategies, executing SuperSaaS, sending reader board information.
Oversee the Wohelo Committee and Wohelo Recipients (prepare all paperwork including for the reception).
